About Diversity Projects Ltd

Diversity Projects is a small software company that specializes in software and services for Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).

Currently, we are concentrating on software to enable Caravan Storage site owners to efficiently administer and control their businesses.

Past projects have included software for the printing and publishing industry, Software Release control databases for the telecoms industry and a Software Problem Reporting and Control database for another software services company.

Our preferred software technology for small businesses is either Microsoft Access or SQL Server databases, with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or Visual Studio 2008 with VB.NET.  For project management, we use Microsoft Project but we also have experience of ICL PERT, Project Manager's Workshop (PMW) and Artemis.

Diversity Projects has also worked under contract for large telecoms companies, providing project management services and programming team management for an IBM AS400 system.

Employees

Currently, there is only one employee.  Our headcount has ventured above that number when workload, contracts and the need for specialist skills have dictated and will no doubt do so again.

Stephen Walsh - Director

Stephen has been involved in the computing industry since 1981, when he started as a Project Planner, using PERT (Project Evaluation and Review Technique) for the control of fast jet aircraft major servicing projects.  He quickly moved on to programming and systems analysis and was instrumental in the design and construction of a major mainframe based engineering task control system in the Royal Air Force.

Since leaving the RAF, he has variously worked for three of the major mobile telecoms companies in the UK and a large American information services company.

During that time, he has worked in programming and design, software testing, business analysis and project and programme management, with responsibility for software programmes with a value of up to £25m.

Stephen has a degree in Computer Science and Economics and has achieved Membership of the British Computer Society and the Institute of Leadership and Management.  He is also a Chartered IT Professional.
